Safety Precautions for PCPS

With the recent school-related incidents across Oklahoma and the U.S., Ponca City Public Schools will enhance safety precautions at all home high school football games. The first home game of the season is Friday at 7 p.m. against Enid.

In addition to seven security officers, PCPS will have increased administrator and Wildcat Safety presence at the games.

We ask patrons not to bring purses or bags to the game. Bags may be searched if they are brought.

“Our school district has always reviewed our safety protocols prior to the start of our home events with our Athletic Department, Administrators, and Ponca City Police Department,” said PCPS Superintendent Adam Leaming. “This year’s review was timely in light of the tragic events experienced across Oklahoma this last Friday.”

“I urge parents and our community patrons to visit with their children and remind them of Ponca City Public Schools Rules and Regulations. As we look as our ways to ensure our patrons safety, we will need the help of our community in ensuing that the following rules and regulations are followed. We want to encourage our community to come out and support our student athletes in the safest environment possible. Thank you Ponca City and Go Wildcats!”
