The open transfer window is currently open for parents to apply for transfers into the Ponca City School District for the 2024-2025 School Year. If you are a parent/guardian of a student who lives outside of the Ponca City Public Schools attendance boundaries you may now apply for a transfer.
If your child is attending Ponca City Public Schools currently on an open transfer granted in 2023-2024, you are not required to reapply. Transfers granted from 2023-2024 may be cancelled due to discipline or a history of 10 or more absences in one semester. You will be notified via letter if your current application is being cancelled after the end of the school year.
If a student moves out of the district during the school year, the student retains the right to continue in their current district for the remainder of the year, but if they wish to continue to attend for the next school year, they will need to apply for a transfer.
Acceptance of new transfers for the upcoming 2024-2025 school year will depend on capacity limits for each grade level. Parents will be contacted after the district’s July registration window as to whether the district is able to accept their transfer request.
