Members of the Ponca City High School DECA Chapter recently attended the annual DECA Fall Leadership Conference, representing the local chapter with enthusiasm and professionalism.

Those attending included chapter officers Kyler Cox, Meredith Leavell, KJ Johnson, Mallory George, Gracie George, and Bella Morrison, along with DECA advisor Heather Monks.

The Fall Leadership Conference brought together DECA members from across the state to build leadership skills, share innovative ideas, and learn more about marketing, management, and entrepreneurship. Students participated in leadership workshops, networking sessions, and motivational presentations focused on preparing them for success in competitive events and future careers.

As local chapter officers, these students play an essential role in planning, organizing, and leading DECA activities throughout the year at Ponca City High School. The group has already been developing new and creative ideas to increase member engagement and community involvement.

Advisor Heather Monks shared that she is proud of the officers’ initiative and leadership.

“Our officers are full of energy and have a clear vision for how to make this year’s DECA chapter one of the best yet,” Monks said. “They came back from the conference motivated and ready to lead.”

With a renewed sense of purpose and plenty of fresh ideas, the Ponca City DECA officers are eager to make a positive impact on their chapter, school, and community this year.
