We are honored to share that Ponca City Public Schools has been selected as a participating district in the Native Youth Community Project (NYCP) initiative through the Office of Indian Education and the Oklahoma State Department of Education.
This multi-year grant will support programs that empower Native students, strengthen family and community connections, and celebrate cultural identity across our district.
While we do not have specifics on the spending breakdown at this time, we look forward to being a statewide leader in improving educational outcomes and services for our Native students and families.
We would also like to extend our appreciation to the Oklahoma State Department of Education for recognizing our outstanding Sara Bell, who has been nothing short of spectacular in her work supporting students and collaborating with district leadership to build meaningful, community-focused initiatives.
