Attention Ponca City Public Schools students and parents who are interested in the 2026 summer driver’s education program. Ponca City Public Schools Drivers Education Application Opens April 13 beginning at 8:00 AM.
What: PCPS Driver’s Education Summer Course
Who: Students enrolled in Ponca City Public Schools who are 15 years of age by May 26, 2026.
When: The summer course will begin May 26, 2026 and end June 30, 2026. Students must complete 30 hours of in-class instruction and 6 hours of individual driving instruction.
Additional information:
The cost of the program is $225 per student. Payment will be due on April 30, 2026 if student is accepted into the program. The parent meeting will be held April 30, 2026 at 5:30 PM in the PoHi Library for accepted applications.
The application window opens April 13, 2026 in the PowerSchool student and parent portal.
The class is limited to 40 students in the 2026 session.
Students will be admitted on a first come, first serve basis, based on application submission date/time as well as their academic and disciplinary record.
A limited number of scholarships will be available, if needed. Eligibility for scholarships will be based on financial need.
Per state requirements, students must be 15 years of age by the start of the program. A photo of the student birth certificate must be provided in the application process.

Directions for completing the 2026 Driver’s Education Application
1. Log in to PowerSchool using the student or parent portal username/password on a cell phone or computer at https://pcps.guardian.powerschool.com/
2. *If you need your username/password please go to the main office of the school and bring a photo ID.
3. When using the app Click on Menu at the bottom right of the screen
4. Click on forms
5. Select Driver’s Ed Application under General Forms
6. Answer each question on the form
7. Upload a photo of the student’s birth certificate as proof of age as of May 26, 2026
8. Click Submit.
9. You will then start the next form Driver’s Education Application Part 2.
10. Both parts must be completed to be considered for the program.
