
A reminder for our high school seniors in regards to wearing tribal regalia at graduation.
Policy 7.22 - 4.0 - Tribal Regalia
Students enrolled in the Ponca City Public School district are permitted to wear tribal regalia during the school’s official graduation ceremonies, whether held at a public or private location.
Tribal regalia is defined as traditional garments, jewelry, other adornments such as an eagle feather, an eagle plume, a beaded cap, a stole, or similar objects of cultural and religious significance worn by members of a federally recognized Indian tribe or the tribe of another county.
Tribal regalia does not include any firearm or other weapon. Tribal regalia does not include any object that is otherwise prohibited by federal law, except in compliance with an appropriate federal permit.

The last day of school is Thursday, May 23!!


Baccalaureate will be held on Thursday, May 23, 2024 in the Concert Hall. Attendance for seniors is optional. If attending, seniors should wear their cap and gown. Graduates will need to arrive at 6:30 pm. The service will begin at 7:00 pm. No food or drink are allowed in the concert hall.


Senior Walk the Halls will be Wednesday, May 22. Don't forget to bring your cap and gown!!!


SCHOOL IN SESSION!!
School will be in session on Friday, May 17. A snow day was taken earlier in the year and tomorrow is the day designated to take the place of that day. All staff and students will be in school!!


Wildcat Academy is interviewing for the 2024-2025 school year. Parents can call the office at 718-3850 to schedule an interview!!


Good luck to our Wildcat Special Olympics Team as they travel to Stillwater May 15-17 to compete in the 2024 Special Olympics Summer Games. Ponca City will have 52 athletes competing this year!!


Attention Seniors!!!
Senior Walk the Halls for local elementary sites for the Po-Hi Class of 2024 will be held on May 22.
Liberty, Union, Trout and Woodlands will walk at 8:20 a.m. with Lincoln, Roosevelt, St. Mary's School and Garfield at 9:45 a.m.


Are you interested in joining something fun and exciting? Join the Po-Hi Wildcat Marching Band Colorguard! No experience is needed, but dancers are highly welcomed. Meet at the EMS gym on May 14 and 16 from 3:45 to 5 p.m.


Due to current weather forecasts, it has been determined that all PCPS activities hosted in Ponca City after school will be cancelled for May 6. This decision was made in the best interest of students and staff.


Teachers deserve our appreciation year-round for all they do to help our students learn, grow, and succeed. But this week especially, we're celebrating and thanking our teachers for their hard work & dedication to education.

The district in-district transfer window according to board policy opens each SY on January 1st and closes May 1st. Parents have until the end of the day to put in a request for an in-district transfer for the upcoming 2024-25 SY. Parents will complete the form in their PowerSchool Account under forms. All students who are currently attending a site on an overflow transfer must put in a transfer request to continue at the site they are currently attending.


Pre-K pre-registration will end on Friday, May 3. Parents can pre-register for the upcoming 2024-2025 school year at the Registration Center located at 111 West Grand from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Congrats to the 42 Ponca City Orchestra students who made the North Oklahoma Regional All District Honor Orchestra!! They are headed to Bartlesville today to perform with other students from Enid, Bartlesville and Stillwater and will perform tonight at 7 p.m. at The Center in Bartlesville. Admission is free and open to the public!
