April 22, we start the first of four OSTP tests at East Middle School. The specific tests and dates are noted on the events calendar. Parents, here are a few things you can do that can help your student prepare for the test... help set aside some review time the night before so they will feel confident that they are prepared for the upcoming test, shut down the computer and electronic devices early so the mind can relax and get a good eight hours of sleep, the morning of the test eat a good breakfast containing protein (steer clear of high sugar products), and one final thing you can do to help your student get a good start to the day, get to school a few minutes early. Rushing around tends to create stress and anxiety, by arriving a little early you can help your student feel more relaxed and confident going into the testing session.  Don't forget to have them bring their Chromebooks charged up for testing as we do not have any chargers to lend out.
