Today was the last day of Red Ribbon Week. Students at Liberty wore red to remember to "Be Kind to Your Mind, Live Drug Free." During the week, students also had a counseling lesson about why we celebrate Red Ribbon week. We thank everyone who participated in Red Ribbon Week.

It is "No Sweat Being Drug Free" at Liberty Elementary. Today, everyone was able to wear sweatpants, sweatshirt, or both. Tomorrow is "Be Kind to Your Mind, Live Drug Free". Everyone can wear the color red.

We are "Too Bright For Drugs" at Liberty Elementary! Students were able to wear a certain color for the grade they are in. You can see Mrs. Shoup's, Mrs. Parker's, Ms. Foss's, Ms. Brown's, and Mrs. Guenther's classes posted below representing the color their grade wore today. Remember that tomorrow is "Being Drug Free is No Sweat". Everyone can wear a sweatshirt, sweatpants, or both.

Today was "Drugs Can't Find Me" at Liberty Elementary during Red Ribbon Week. It was fun seeing students wear their camo today. Remember that tomorrow, students are "Too Bright For Drugs" and will wear the color for the grade they are in. Po-Hi Symphony and Philharmonic Strings will present a Halloween Concert on Oct. 30 at 7 p.m. at the Ponca City Schools Concert Hall. The event is free to the public. All ages are encouraged to dress up and participate in a costume contest to win a prize!

Thursday Night Lights
Tonight is a Pink Out Night for the Ponca City vs. Putnam City football game. The game begins at 7 p.m. at Sullins Stadium. Tonight is also Mini Cheer Camp Night. Participants will have FREE entry with their mini cheer shirt on. Tickets are $10 cash at the gate or $8 at gofan.co.

On October 4th at 1:20 (CT), FEMA (the Federal Emergency Management Agency) is conducting a nationwide test of the Wireless Emergency Alert System. Cell towers will broadcast the alert for 30 minutes. Individuals may receive the test message anytime during those 30 minutes. This is not school related.

A Homecoming Parade will be held TONIGHT at 6 p.m. in downtown Ponca City. The parade begins at the railroad tracks on Grand Avenue then turns north on Fifth Street and will end at the high school. A short pep rally will be held immediately following.

The Registration Center, 111 W. Grand, will be open the rest of the week from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. to assist with registration and to receive the required registration documents. A reminder that we CANNOT place your student in an elementary school until we receive proof of address. The first day of school is next week so don't delay!! Required registration documents can also be emailed to registration@pcps.us.
