This week we celebrate the 2025 Ponca City High School Homecoming coronation. The Homecoming Court consists of a freshman, sophomore, and junior class attendant and three senior queen candidates. The senior class has chosen the queen from among the senior candidates, and the winner will be announced during coronation before the varsity football game on Friday night.
Hadley Summitt has been elected as the freshman attendant. She is the daughter of Allison Boyer and Terrence Summitt. Hadley is a Po-Hi Student Council Freshman Representative, a member of the Wildcat Theatre Company, and a member of the Po-Hi Native American Heritage Club. Hadley is escorted by Quaid Anderson, son of Aubrey and Wayne Andersen. Quaid is a member of the Wildcat football and golf teams and is involved in the St. Luke’s Church of the Nazarene youth group. Presenting flowers to Hadley is Jaycee Wardlow, daughter of Amanda and Tyler Wardlow. Jaycee is a member of the Po-Hi wrestling team, the Po-Hi Native American Heritage Club, and serves as Freshman Class President.
Mikaela Hardesty is this year’s sophomore attendant. Mikaela is the granddaughter of Vicki and Allen Hardesty. She is a member of the Po Hi-Steppers, serves as Sophomore Class President, and is a Sophomore Student Council Representative. Escorting Mikaela is Colt Schickram, son of Beth and Dustin Schickram. Colt is a member of the Wildcat football, wrestling, and track teams. Presenting flowers to Mikaela is Katelynn Elmore, daughter of Laura and James Elmore. Katelynn is Sophomore Class President, a member of the Po-Hi Symphony Orchestra, and participates in club soccer.
The junior attendant is Katrina Kiser, daughter of Letticia Deitas and the late Zac Kiser. Katrina is a member of the Po Hi-Steppers, First Baptist Church, and serves as coach for Wolfpack Cheer. Escorting Katrina is Alejandro Perez, son of Tara and Vincent Perez. Alejandro is a member of the Wildcat football and soccer teams and enjoys fishing. Presenting flowers to Katrina is Rachel Gertken, daughter of Felicia and Adam Gertken. Rachel is a member of the Po Hi-Steppers, Junior Class President, and a Junior Student Council Representative.
The 2025 Queen Candidates are Nevaeh Carlisle, Ja’Kiya Colbert, and Taylor Otto.
Nevaeh is the daughter of Lacy Montano and Kevin Carlisle. She is a member of the Wildcat basketball and track teams and is involved in the youth group at St. Luke’s Church of the Nazarene. After graduation, Nevaeh plans to attend the University of Central Oklahoma and major in nursing. Escorting Nevaeh is senior Blayz McGaha, son of Angie and JD McGaha. Blayz is a member of the Wildcat football and track teams and enjoys powerlifting. After graduation, Blayz plans to continue his athletic career. Presenting flowers to Nevaeh is Haylee Kyler, daughter of Kalyn and Ross Kyler. Haylee is the Po-Hi Student Council Vice President, a member of the Wildcat soccer team, and a member of the National Honor Society. She plans to attend Northern Oklahoma College to study digital media and join the Roustabout performers.
Ja’Kiya Colbert is the daughter of Diana and Gary Barnett. She is a member of the Wildcat varsity softball team and also plays travel softball. Ja’Kiya plans to play collegiate softball while majoring in education to later become a teacher. Escorting Ja’Kiya is senior Darrion Roland-Barton, son of Alisha and Darryk Barton. Darrion is a member of the Wildcat football and track teams and enjoys fishing. After graduation, he plans to continue his athletic career while attending college. Presenting flowers to Ja’Kiya is senior Jaycee Davis, daughter of Jessica and Logan Davis. Jaycee is the Student Council State Secretary, a member of the Wildcat cross-country, track, and soccer teams, and is active in the St. Luke’s Church of the Nazarene youth group. Jaycee has committed to Southern Nazarene University, where she will run cross-country and major in Pastoral Ministry with a minor in Psychology.
Taylor Otto is the daughter of Bonnie and Chad Otto. Taylor is a member of the Wildcat varsity volleyball team, Senior Class Treasurer, and President of Po-Hi FFA. Her post–high school plans are to attend Oklahoma State University and major in Finance. Escorting Taylor is senior Mason McCleary, son of Alisa and Josh McCleary. Mason is a member of the Wildcat football team, National Honor Society, and the First Lutheran youth group. After graduation, Mason plans to attend Texas A&M University and major in Aerospace Engineering. Presenting flowers to Taylor is Jenna Northcutt, daughter of Kelli and Jeff Northcutt. Jenna is a member of the Wildcat varsity basketball and volleyball teams, Senior Class President, and National Honor Society Historian. Jenna’s plans after high school are to attend the University of Oklahoma and major in Biology.
Senior Lennon Shearer will present the queen’s bouquet. Lennon is the daughter of Ashley and Bryan Shearer, serves as Student Council President and National Honor Society President, Po Hi-Stepper Lieutenant and plans to become a pediatrician. Presenting the queen’s sash will be senior Ava Mackinnon, daughter of Audra and Jeff Mackinnon. Ava is the Student Council Secretary, a member of Evans’ Children’s Academy of Performing Arts, and a member of the Student Athlete Advisory Council. After graduation, Ava plans to attend Wichita State University and the University of Kansas to become an occupational therapist. Presenting the queen’s tiara is Taelyn Montague, daughter of Aundrea and Zack Montague. Taelyn is a member of the Wildcat golf team, Po-Hi Student Council Treasurer, and the First Baptist Church student leadership team.
Po-Hi Student Council Advisor Haley Crowder shared, “The beautiful flowers presented to the Homecoming Court were provided by Busy Bees Flowers and Gifts. We would like to thank the Po Hi-Steppers, the Marching Band, and the Po-Hi Cheerleaders for assisting with the Homecoming ceremony.
