Ponca City Public Schools is pleased to announce the appointment of Tina Fisher as assistant principal at Ponca City High School, pending Board of Education approval at the January meeting. A proud Po-Hi graduate from the Class of 2002, Tina brings a strong connection to the district along with extensive experience in education and school leadership.

Tina attended Northern Oklahoma College and Oklahoma State University, earning her bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education in 2006. She later completed her master’s degree in School Counseling from Northwestern Oklahoma State University in 2010.

Her career began with PCPS as a third-grade teacher at Liberty Elementary. Over the past 20 years, Tina has served in various roles, including instructional coach, school counselor, and principal at Washington Pre-K, a position she held for five years. Tina and her husband, Lane, have been married for nearly 19 years and have two sons. Easton is a seventh grader at West Middle School, and Owen is a second grader at Woodlands Elementary. The family enjoys outdoor adventures such as trail riding, fishing, and visiting new places.

Tina will be replacing Kaitlyn Pressnall, who will be transitioning to the role of Director of Intervention and Support Services at the Board of Education.

“Ponca City Schools has always felt like home to me, and I am deeply appreciative of the educators who invested in me as a student and a professional,” Tina said. “I am truly honored to return to my alma mater and give back to the community that helped shape who I am today. I look forward to working alongside staff, students, and families to foster growth, belonging, and success for every learner. I am excited to embrace this opportunity to serve and continue learning.”

Po-Hi principal Sean Taglialatela shared, “We are excited to welcome Tina Fisher to our administrative team as our new assistant principal. Tina brings a strong instructional focus that will help us continue to grow academically, while also valuing the important role extracurricular activities play in building well-rounded students. Her commitment to both academic excellence and student involvement will be a tremendous asset to our school community.”

Superintendent Adam Leaming added, “Tina has stepped up in big ways this year and has helped us as an 8th grade assistant principal. Watching her build positive relationships with students and staff this year has been incredibly rewarding. I’m thrilled she is taking a big step to help our teams at Po-Hi! 2026 is already off to an amazing start for PCPS.”
