Four Po-Hi Gifted and Talented students presented their National History Day projects at the regional Oklahoma National History Day competition held at OSU on Friday, March 27. All four of these outstanding students qualified for the OkNHD state competition to be held at the Oklahoma History Center in Oklahoma City on May 6. Students who qualify at the state competition will travel to the University of Maryland, College Park to compete in the National History Day competition in June.

Each student competed in a different category. Listed below are the categories and subjects of each student's project.
Jessie Childress-Fields (Freshman): Paper 1st place - “The OJ Simpson Trial: Domestic Violence and The Road to Reform”
August Palmer (Sophomore): Individual Documentary 1st place – “Breaking the Silence: Dorothea Dix & the Mental Health Revolution”
Ava O’Neill (Senior): Individual Website 1st place - “The Salem Witch Trials: A Change to the Court System”
London Pettigrew (Senior): Individual Exhibit 2nd place – “Elvis Presley: The Revolutionary of Rock 'n' Roll”
