As part of Ponca City High School's ongoing commitment to maintaining a safe and secure learning environment, an important change will take effect this school year regarding access to campus.

Beginning this school year, the student parking lot entrance doors will be locked promptly at 7:55 a.m. each school day and will remain locked for the remainder of the day. Students arriving after 7:55 a.m. or returning to campus during the school day must enter the building through the Main Entrance on the 5th Street side. Students coming from Concert Hall and the Art Building will also enter through the main entrance.

This adjustment is a proactive safety measure designed to strengthen campus security by ensuring that all individuals entering the building after the start of the school day do so through a single, monitored point of entry. While we understand this will be a change in routine for some students, establishing controlled access is an important component of providing a safe and secure environment for everyone on campus.

As a reminder, all parents, guardians, visitors, volunteers, and other guests must continue to enter through the Main Entrance on the 5th Street side, where they will be required to check in before accessing the building.

We appreciate the patience and cooperation of our students, families, and community as we implement this enhanced safety procedure. Working together to follow these protocols helps us maintain a secure campus where students and staff can focus on learning.
