Important Info:

  • The deadline to register for the test is October 6, 2026.

  • Spots are limited!

  • The PSAT is a digital test taken on Chromebooks.

  • Free test prep materials available at https://satsuite.collegeboard.org/psat-nmsqt and khanacademy.org, including a full-length,

    digital practice test. (Look for the SAT practice materials–it and the PSAT have the same content.)

Why take the PSAT?

  • The PSAT is the qualifying test to compete for National Merit Scholarship recognition and scholarship money. 

  • The PSAT connects students to more than $235 million in scholarships, including the National Merit® Scholarship Program.

  • Sophomores take the PSAT as practice for their Junior year.

  • Good practice for both the SAT and ACT.

PSAT Test Breakdown: 

·      Total Time: 2 hours and 14 minutes

·        Number of Questions: 98 questions

·        Number of Sections: 2

·        Sections:

  • Reading and Writing Section: 64 minutes

  • Math Section: 70 minutes

  • You will have a 10-minute break between the Reading and Writing section

  •  and the Math section. 

·        Digital Test: The PSAT is a digital test, administered on a school-provided device. 

·        Breaks: You will have a 10-minute break between the Reading and Writing section

 and the Math section.
