On September 22, several Po-Hi Aviation 3 and 4 students attended the University of Oklahoma Open House Engineering Event in Norman, putting their creativity, engineering skills, and problem-solving abilities to the test.
For the past four weeks, students designed and built a glider completely from scratch, using 3D printers, teamwork, engineering skills, and plenty of trial and error to turn an idea into a finished aircraft.
Two students also competed in the Egg Drop Challenge, where they had just 20 minutes to design, build, and test a device to protect an egg during a three-story drop. Their quick thinking earned them 3rd Place! 🥉
This event gave Po-Hi students the opportunity to experience engineering and aviation beyond the classroom, work alongside other students, and see how the skills they are learning can be applied in real-world situations.
We are proud of the hard work, creativity, and teamwork our Aviation students demonstrated throughout the event! ✈️
