Po-Hi will be giving an ACT to all Juniors on October 14, 15, 21 and 22. Each Junior will test on only one of those test dates. These days will be regular school-schedule days---NOT a virtual day for any Po-Hi students.
This test is free to the students, and Ms. Easley will register everyone for the test. This test is online, so students will need their school-issued Chromebooks.
Testing rosters that show test day and test room assignment will be posted on Tuesday, October 6 outside all of the Junior English classrooms and outside of the assistant principals' office. Virtual Juniors should check with Ms. (Tamez) Seward, Mr. Scott, or Ms. Payne for their room and day assignment.
Virtual Juniors will test at the high school. The test rooms at the high school are located in the Fine Arts building.
WCA and Share Juniors will test at Wildcat Academy. They should check with Ms. Keen or Mr. Munger for their specific test dates.
Po-Hi and Virtual Juniors should
report to their assigned test room in the Fine Arts building by 7:45AM and
bring their school Chromebook, charger, calculator and a picture ID.
Juniors will be able to use this free ACT test score (and their free state ACT score in April) for college admission and scholarship applications. This score is also eligible for ACT's super score process.
The focus of this Fall ACT is for Juniors to learn the format of the ACT, see the type of questions that will be on the test, and identify their strengths and weaknesses in test content. Po-Hi is also excited to offer another free ACT to our students.
For more information about testing, please email Ms. Easley at easleb@pcps.us.
