Attention Po-Hi Juniors and their guardians:
The state of Oklahoma requires that all Juniors complete a series of state tests in order to graduate. All Po-Hi Juniors on the Po-Hi main campus, at Wildcat Academy, and at the SHARE program will take the state ACT test, the state US History test and the state Science test. The dates are listed below.

Junior ACT: Wednesday, April 8, 2026 8:00 am
Junior US History and Science tests: Wednesday, April 15, 2026 8:00 am

Students will be notified of report times, testing locations, and what to bring with them immediately after Spring Break.

Both of the test dates listed above will be Distance Learning Days for Freshmen, Sophomores, and Seniors in order to free up space and staff to administer the state tests.

These tests are free to our Juniors. Students do not have to register for them--the school will register all Juniors for all three tests.
This state ACT score can also be used for college admission and scholarship qualification.

For more information about 2025 changes to the format of the ACT, understanding scores, or practice materials, click on this link: ACT 2025-26.

If you have any questions about Po-Hi's state testing, please contact Ms. Easley at easleb@pcps.us.

Ponca City Public Schools hosted the Red Carpet Honor Band on Saturday, January 10, bringing together more than 300 band students representing 38 schools across northwest Oklahoma. Students gathered for rehearsals on Friday and performed in a concert on Saturday. This event was one of the largest ever held in the PCPS Concert Hall, utilizing all classrooms included in the most recent building expansion.

Ponca City had 32 students representing PCPS. Students are selected to perform in the Red Carpet Honor Band through a competitive audition process, making it an exceptional opportunity to participate in one of the three performing ensembles.

Many band directors and Red Carpet Board members expressed appreciation for the PCPS facilities, event organization, and the hospitality of everyone involved. Thank you to the Instrumental Music Parents Association, student and parent volunteers, PCPS Instrumental Music staff, Julie Lawrence, Concert Hall Coordinator, and district administration for their support in making this event possible.
