Dear Woodlands Families,
Due to the passing of beloved Woodlands teacher Mrs. Magnus, Woodlands Elementary will dismiss at 1:00 p.m. on Monday to allow staff the opportunity to attend her funeral service at 2:00 p.m. at First Baptist Church.
Please note that school will proceed as normal across the district, and this early dismissal applies only to Woodlands Elementary.
Students who are normally walkers will not be released without a parent, guardian, or approved PowerSchool contact. If families are unable to pick up their child at 1:00 p.m., Woodlands staff will provide supervision and activities until the regular dismissal time.
Bus routes from Woodlands will operate as usual, and Cat Care will continue on its normal schedule.

School is cancelled tomorrow, January 26, due to winter weather and unsafe travel conditions. All after school activities are cancelled as well.

At 1:00, Woodlands conducted a scheduled fire drill in partnership with the Ponca City Fire Department. After completion of the drill, the fire alarm system alerted again, prompting a real evacuation of the building. PCFD responded fully to the alarm and worked to clear the building. The all clear was given after investigation and students and staff have returned to operations as usual.
Due to a major water main break, school will be dismissed today at 12:30. Parents are free to come get their students early. Buses will not run early.

Elementary Meet Your Teacher Night is TODAY from 4 to 6 p.m. at ALL elementary school sites.
School IS IN SESSION tomorrow and Monday. PCPS used both Snow Days because of inclement weather.
PCPS will be open for in-person learning on Thursday, Feb. 20. Please exercise caution when traveling. If parents/guardians feel it is unsafe to drive your children, please notify your child’s school.
As a precautionary measure on Tuesday, Feb. 18 PCPS will utilize a snow day. Please be safe!

A reminder of guidelines for ALL of our athletic events:
ALL students 9th-12th must show their student ID to purchase tickets to athletic events. Pre-K to 8th grade MUST be accompanied by a parent/guardian. Students being disruptive, not following the guidelines or violating basic safety rules, will be escorted to their parents and may be removed from the event.
Students, please have your ID ready when purchasing tickets.
